Visiting Holy Isle

Holy Isle welcomes visitors during the summer season, from April to October. You can come as a day visitor to explore the island.

Staying at the Centre for World Peace and Health is open to those joining one of our courses or retreats. We look forward to welcoming you. For everything you need to know about your stay, including accommodation, meals and the daily programme, visit the Guests page.

If you are interested in joining us as a resident volunteer, please visit our Volunteering page.

Day Visiting

The Centre itself is kept as a retreat space for our guests, but you are welcome to take a look at the front Organic Vegetable Garden and in bad weather you can enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee in our boathouse — a historic little building just south of the jetty, used in the past as living quarters, classroom, barn, and now a cosy space, cool in the summer and comfortably warm on chilly days.

On occasion this space is used for small courses.

We ask that you leave any pets on Arran so that the wildlife on Holy Isle can remain undisturbed.

Lama Yeshe requests that to protect Holy Isle as a sacred space, all who visit will endeavour to be in harmony with the island’s aims of promoting world peace and health by following the Five Golden Rules.
