Therapist and teacher, Alistair Appleton has been working in the field of
mindfulness for more than ten years and his course this year on Holy Island looks to
expand the boundaries of where we apply mindfulness in our life.
This seven day retreat is looking at practical ways of locating our sense of being not just in our thoughts and emotions but in our bodies, in our energy field and most crucially in our relationships with others and with the planet.
Beingfulness is tool to help us live more fully with less paralysing fear and fixity. Regular and sustained practice can restore a fluid sense of existence in the world, empowered from our energetic centre which resides in our body.
The course involves group and pairwork, bodywork and breathing, drawing, creative and energy exercises. There's a happy balance of study, discussion and free time and the week is suitable for beginners and more experienced meditators alike. Just bring an open mind.
