Between April and October, everyone is welcome to experience the beauty and tranquillity of the island, by staying for the night and enjoying the guesthouse facilities of the Centre, whether or not you join one of the many courses that are on offer.

A total of 57 beds are available, in rooms that are all simple in style but inviting and fully furnished, with central heating and a small wash basin. On either side of the "old farmhouse" - now called the Harmony wing - is a wing: the Wisdom wing contains mostly guest rooms, while the Compassion wing ground floor consists of the kitchen and dining room with more guest rooms upstairs. The Harmony wing houses the library, as well as three more twin rooms and a luxurious double room overlooking Lamlash Bay.

Guests are invited - but by no means expected - to join in the daily meditation schedule, and are welcome to enjoy the whole island including the beautiful ornamental Mandala Garden.
The Centre contains:

  • single rooms at £55 per night,
  • twin rooms at £40 per person per night (£56 single occupancy) and
  • dormitory beds (eight persons per dorm, men and women have separate dorms) at £32 per person per night.
We also have two rooms directly overlooking the sea view of Lamlash Bay:
  • Sea view twin and double room at £46 per person per night (£64.40 single occupancy).

Vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free meal options are available. Please contact us in advance if you have any other dietary requirements arising from a diagnosed medical condition.

Lama Yeshe requests that to protect Holy Isle as a sacred space, all who visit will endeavour to be in harmony with the island's aims of promoting world peace and health by following the Five Golden Rules.

Arrival and departure policy: we ask our guests to please arrive in the afternoon after 2pm and leave before 12pm on your departure day, weather and tide permitting.

Internet access: internet access can be made available for essential communications such as onward travel booking. Please note however that we have a limited wireless broadband connection to the island which we primarily use for running the centre.
